Jiffy-7 Coco Plugs | 100% Peat Free
The Jiffy-7® pellet: fine netting is filled with high-quality substrate and then compressed to form a handy pellet. Just add water, and the little planting wonder grows to up to seven times its size in a few moments. It is held together by fine netting, ensurÂing optimum air/water exchange.
How it works
- Soak the dried plugs in tepid water for 5-10 minutes until fully expanded. Mix a root stim and light nutrient solution in with water for better results (Shogun Katana Roots and Shogun Start are great options).
- Insert cutting or seed into plug and very gently press/squeeze around the top to cover seed or secure cutting around base.
- Drain excess water by flicking in a downward motion several times or by very gently squeezing. Do not over-squeeze or crush; the Jiffy 7's should be wet but not dripping.
- Place in covered propagator, under gentle light, in appropriate environment for 7-10 days.
- After several days (or once roots begin to appear) open propagator lid slightly to allow fresh air in, being careful not to allow plugs to dry out. Water if necessary.
