Maven Skram Mist Pest Prevention
SKRAM Triple P (formerly Plant Wash) is an emulsion in water containing medium-chain fatty acid nonionic surfactants, derived from renewable plant-based oils (olive oil, soybean oil, yeast-derived oil, and microalgae fatty acid methyl esters). It is used in protected cropping systems for managing insect pests and root-zone hygiene.
Target Pests
When applied as a foliar spray, SKRAM provides control of:
- Aphids
- Whiteflies
- Thrips
- Spider mites
It also offers suppression of:
- Mealybugs
- Leafhoppers
- Psyllids
- Suckers
- Scale insects
SKRAM is active against all life stages of insects and mites, particularly motile forms.
Mode of Action
SKRAM acts on contact with the pest. The fatty acid surfactants penetrate the external body wall, disrupting feeding activity and reducing egg viability. Treated pests show immediate feeding cessation, helping protect crops from further damage.
Use in Root Zone & Irrigation Systems
In hydroponic or irrigation water, SKRAM helps reduce infection pressure from zoosporic fungi such as Pythium and Phytophthora by disrupting zoospore plasma membranes. Continuous use in solution assists with limiting disease spread.
Additionally, as a surfactant, SKRAM contributes to general system hygiene by helping to remove biofilms and reducing pathogen persistence in irrigation lines.
Compatibility & Safety
- Exempt from maximum residue limit (MRL) testing
- Zero-day preharvest interval on all crops
- Minimal impact on bees and beneficial arthropods
- Suitable for use in organic production
