Method Seven Citadel FX2 Matte Black LED and CMH Glasses (Formerly known as LEDfx Agent 939)

Method Seven Citadel FX2 Matte Black LED and CMH Glasses (Formerly known as LEDfx Agent 939)
Lens Technology
Method Seven grow room optics are engineered with advanced notch-filtering technology that precisely blocks specific wavelengths of light, creating optimal color balance for each type of grow light. Each lens is then enhanced with a range of specialized coatings across the spectrum to maximize performance. These include resin-repellent, anti-reflective, anti-fog, and petrol mirror coatings—delivering exceptional clarity, durability, and all-day visual comfort.
Frame Technology
Their Grow frames are designed in California and crafted in Italy using thermo-injected TR90 polymers. Built to endure high heat and demanding professional conditions, these frames perform reliably in everything from home basement grows to large-scale commercial facilities.
Method Seven Grow
Method Seven invented grow room glasses in 2009. Founder Jeff Goldberg—a photographer for Hoydroponics Magazine and manager of several successful grow rooms—struggled to capture accurate images of plants under High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) lighting, where everything appeared washed out in yellow. Inspired by neodymium glass-blowing goggles, he began to wonder if a lens could be engineered to properly balance HPS light.
After several years of research and collaboration with a German optical chemist, the breakthrough came. By using rare earth elements, they were able to perfectly balance HPS lighting. Along the way, they also discovered the lenses blocked infrared heat and all harmful UV rays—an unexpected but powerful bonus.
This innovation is where the name Method Seven was born: seven steps of the scientific method combined with rare earth elements to create a lens unlike anything else on the market. Since then, Method Seven has continued to develop precision lenses for every type of grow light, including their latest flagship project, the FX2, designed specifically for full-spectrum LED lighting.
As grow lights continue to evolve, Method Seven remains committed to innovation—ensuring growers stay protected and achieve the best possible harvests. And yes, many on the Method Seven team still grow. Thanks, Jeff.
